Athens Hidden Dog Fences
Athens dog owners have trusted DogWatch® hidden dog fences since 1990. We serve homeowners throughout Athens-Clarke County and Oconee County, from neighborhoods around Five Points to larger properties outside Watkinsville.
Every DogWatch system is installed by our local team. We don't just put the fence in the ground and leave. We work with you and your dog so they learn where their boundaries are and how the system works. Your system also comes with a lifetime equipment warranty and no monthly fees.
The fence itself is simple. A boundary wire is buried around the areas where you want your dog to stay. Your dog wears a lightweight, waterproof receiver collar that responds as they approach the boundary. There is no physical fence to block the view or change the look of your property.
DogWatch systems include our FM SafeLink® signal, FastReact® response and receiver collar batteries that can last up to two years. DogWatch has also been recognized as a Consumer Digest Best Buy since 1998.
If you've been searching for an invisible dog fence in Athens, we'd be happy to show you how a professionally installed DogWatch hidden fence would work for your property and your dog.

Installing Your Invisible Pet Fence in Athens
At DogWatch®, we prioritize the safety and happiness of your pets, which is why our invisible pet fences are distinctly different from electric fences. Our system uses a reliable FM radio signal transmitted through an underground boundary wire that we expertly install. The collar your pet wears works in harmony with the system, receiving these signals and providing a gentle stimulation whenever they venture too close to the concealed boundary. These mild stimulations are entirely safe and designed solely to guide your pets back inside the boundaries. At DogWatch®, we are dedicated to ensuring our systems are safe for pets and user-friendly for owners.
After consulting with you to determine your desired perimeter, we initiate the installation process by burying the FM radio transmitting wire within your specified containment area. A transmitter connected to this wire is then installed within your home. We also include Lightning Protection for both your fence and home wiring systems, giving you complete peace of mind.
Note from the Owner
We know your dog is part of your family, and we treat every installation that way. Our local team takes the time to set up the right system for your property, train your dog, and make sure you're comfortable with how everything works.
Thank you for trusting DogWatch to help keep your dog safe at home.

Athens Hidden Dog Fence FAQs
Do you install invisible dog fences in Athens, GA?
Yes. DogWatch of Atlanta & Athens has installed hidden dog fences in the Athens area since 1990. We cover all of Athens-Clarke County and Oconee County, including Watkinsville, Bogart, and Winterville. Call our Athens line at 706-369-3647 for a free quote.
How much does a hidden dog fence cost in Athens?
Pricing depends on the size and layout of your property and the system you choose. Most Athens installations are quoted after a quick conversation about your yard and your dog. Quotes are free, and every DogWatch system includes a lifetime equipment warranty with no monthly fees.
Will a hidden fence work on a large or wooded property outside Athens?
Yes. Hidden fences work on properties of any size or shape, including large wooded acreage in Oconee and surrounding counties. The boundary wire is laid to match your land, so hills, trees, ponds, and irregular lot lines are not a problem.
Do you train my dog on the fence after installation?
Yes. Every Athens-area installation includes a training program that teaches your dog to recognize the boundary using voice commands, the collar's warning tone, and visual training flags. Most dogs learn their boundaries within a couple of weeks.
